Jalen Carter, a prominent NFL Draft prospect, has arrest warrants out for him in relation to a tragic Georgia crash.

Georgia's standout defensive lineman Jalen Carter has been issued arrest warrants for speeding and reckless driving in relation to the horrific vehicle accident that claimed the lives of one of his teammates and a team employee.

Athens-Clarke County Police conducted an investigation and discovered that Carter, who is competing for the top pick in the 2023 NFL Draft and is currently attending the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, was operating a 2021 Jeep Track hawk "in a manner consistent with racing" on the morning that Georgia player Devin Willock and recruiting expert Chandler LeCroy perished in the Jan. 15 collision.

LeCroy was operating a 2021 Ford Expedition, and his BAC was.197 at the time of the collision.

"The evidence demonstrated that both vehicles switched between lanes, drove in the concentred lane, drove in opposite lanes of travel, overtook other motorists, and drove at high rates of speed, in an apparent attempt to outdistance each other," the Athens-Clarke County Police Department said in a release Wednesday morning.

Evidence suggested that the Expedition was moving at around 104 miles per hour just before the incident.

According to a Wednesday Atlanta Journal-Constitution report, Carter, 21, initially told police he was nearly a mile away from the collision before changing his story.

According to the complaint, Carter then told officers that he was next to the other automobile. According to the investigation, Carter left the collision site and came back 90 minutes later.

On Wednesday morning, Carter was supposed to address the media in Indianapolis.
