According to reports, seven Sierra Leoneans employed in Lebanon were discovered dead this afternoon in a nine-story structure. According to sources, a gas explosion was the cause of the tragedy. Some locals, however, are disputing the report, claiming that there was no fire in the structure where the incident took place.
Some residents are requesting that the Sierra Leone Embassy in Lebanon and other pertinent authorities conduct a thorough investigation into the events that led to the deaths of the seven Sierra Leoneans in light of this.
Some Sierra Leoneans also vented their rage and fury on social media about the ongoing killings of their countrymen working as migrant labourers in Lebanon.
There have been several stories of migrant workers from Sierra Leone being murdered and mistreated by their employers in Lebanon and other Middle Eastern countries.
